Trivia Climb
Introduction
Trivia Climb is a web game created by Innov8 Minds from SMK Lutong. It was designed especially for secondary school students from Form 1 to Form 5, turning revision into a tower climbing adventure that makes learning more fun and engaging. Instead of just reading textbooks, students play by answering questions to climb up a tower. The quiz topics are randomly chosen by the system, based on the selected forms, so every player gets questions that match their level. This shows how digital innovation can transform education and make studying more exciting.
Problem Statement
Many students find textbooks boring and struggle to remember facts, like History dates. This lowers motivation and makes revision stressful. We wanted to fix it by making learning feel more like a game and exciting.
Objectives
Our goal is to turn school revision into a game, help students revise in a fun way, and encourage digital skills through gamification and show that using digital tools can make studying more exciting and effective.
Implemention
We built the game using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with Claude AI helping us generate the code and quiz questions. Correct answers move your avatar higher, while wrong ones shakes but allowing retries, keeping the experiences stress free. At the same time, the system encourages recall techniques by giving random questions based on the selected form, making revision more effective.
Impact and Theme Connection
Trivia Climb makes learning more exciting for students, encourages digital skills and can be shared freely with other schools. This matches the ICTE 26 theme Enabling Transformative and High Quality Education through Innovative Solutions and Discoveries, because it shows how innovation can transform education and make learning high quality and enjoyable for secondary students.
Conclusion
By turning revision into a tower climbing adventure, Trivia Climb proves that students can create digital innovations that change the way we learn.
