This study intends to investigate the effectiveness of GrammarPoly, an AI-powered gamified web-based learning platform designed to enhance mastery of parts of speech among weak students enrolled in English Grammar 1 at KPTM Ipoh. A quantitative research design was employed, with selected learners identified based on their low performance and learning needs. The data for this study were collected through grammar quizzes administered before and after the intervention, using students’ Quiz 1 results as the pre-intervention benchmark and comparing them with Quiz 2 results in the same subject after the intervention, followed by a survey questionnaire examining learners’ experiences with the platform in terms of engagement, usability, motivation, and perceived learning improvement. Inferential statistics of the pre- and post-test scores obtained using a t-test indicate that the learners demonstrated notable improvement in their grammar performance after using the intervention. The findings suggest that the gamified AI-based platform has strong potential to improve learners’ understanding and application of parts of speech. Similarly, descriptive analysis of learners’ experiences reveals an overall positive perception, with high levels of agreement across questionnaire items, indicating that students found the website enjoyable, easy to use, and helpful for learning grammar more effectively. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that Grammar Sage is effective in supporting grammar learning among weak learners. The implication of this study is that integrating AI and gamification into grammar instruction can transform conventional lessons into a more interactive, motivating, and learner-centred educational experience.
