The Phonic Mixer is an innovative, interactive teaching aid designed to enhance phonics instruction among primary school learners through a hands-on, music-inspired learning experience. The system consists of a turntable-based physical learning set that enables learners to mix and match individual consonant and vowel sounds to construct and decode Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) words. By incorporating an engaging rotational mechanism, the Phonic Mixer promotes active participation, sound recognition, blending, and early word-building skills. To extend accessibility and learning flexibility, a web-based digital version has also been developed, allowing learners to interact with the Phonic Mixer online. The innovation supports engaging, learner-centred phonics instruction in both physical and digital learning environments.
