NOVIQUE is an interactive digital learning innovation designed to enhance English vocabulary learning among Year 1 pupils, focusing on the topic “Lunchtime.” The innovation integrates Virtual Reality (VR) videos and ZEP gamified quizzes to create an immersive, engaging, and enjoyable learning experience. NOVIQUE was developed to address pupils’ difficulties in recognising, understanding, and remembering basic food vocabulary, as well as low engagement and motivation during English lessons. Pupils explore vocabulary through immersive VR experiences and reinforce their learning through interactive quizzes. NOVIQUE supports active participation, improves vocabulary mastery, increases motivation and confidence, and promotes meaningful technology-enhanced learning among beginner English language learners.
