Fractions serve as a fundamental foundation for primary school mathematics, yet traditional teaching methods often fail to engage pupils, leading many to struggle with fraction operations and view the topic as difficult. To address this issue, this project introduces Fraction Fortress: The Great Partition, an educational board game designed to improve primary school pupils' understanding of fractions, boost their interest in mathematics, and foster strategic thinking skills. In Fraction Fortress, players navigate a gameboard consisting of resource, market, wild, and storm spaces while using physical fraction bricks to construct fortress towers, where each completed tower represents one whole unit. Through this hands-on, gamified approach, pupils actively practice fraction addition, equivalent fractions, and fraction comparison in a dynamic learning environment. Ultimately, the game transforms abstract mathematical concepts into tangible building blocks, enhancing pupils' confidence, engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
