Managing regular pet feeding schedules while away from home poses a common challenge for busy pet owners. This project presents PawFeed IoT, a smart automatic pet food feeder featuring real-time food-level and pet-presence monitoring driven by IoT architecture. Powered by an ESP32 microcontroller, the device integrates dual ultrasonic sensors: one positioned inside the top hopper to continuously measure remaining food storage percentage, and a second mounted near the base to detect pet proximity before dispensing.
Users can remotely initiate feeding on demand via a dedicated "FEED NOW" button on the Blynk mobile app, which signals the ESP32 to actuate a servo motor dispensing mechanism. The system features dynamic visual status tracking via an onboard LED, while sending real-time push notifications to the user's smartphone when food levels drop low.
By automating dietary scheduling and providing remote monitoring, PawFeed IoT offers a reliable, user-friendly solution for domestic animal care, maintaining pet health and offering peace of mind to pet owners.
