Learning SQL and database concepts is fundamental in computer science education; however, students often face challenges such as difficulty remembering syntax, limited feedback, low motivation, and high instructor workload in conventional teaching methods. To address these issues, an interactive platform, SmartSQL Hub, was developed with the objective of enhancing SQL learning through guided tutorials, practical exercises, a mnemonic-based Memory Match mini game (e.g., SFW: SELECT–FROM–WHERE; IIV: INSERT–INTO–VALUES), and gamification elements including scores, badges, and celebratory animations, while automated query evaluation reduces instructor effort. The platform’s effectiveness, usability, and motivational impact were evaluated using a structured questionnaire with Likert-scale items and thematic analysis of open-ended responses. Findings indicate high levels of student satisfaction, measurable improvements in SQL skills, increased engagement, and successful bridging of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Recommendations for future enhancement include adaptive difficulty levels and expanded content coverage. In conclusion, SmartSQL Hub demonstrates strong potential as an innovative, interactive, and scalable learning tool for academic courses, online learning platforms, and professional training programs.
