Background: Infection prevention and control (IPC) is essential for safe nursing practice. The Nursing Classroom Hub was developed as a centralised digital learning platform integrating visual resources, interactive activities and an AI chatbot learning assistant to support accessible, personalised and self-directed IPC learning. The innovation is guided by Constructivist Learning Theory and Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning, supporting active knowledge construction through interaction and the integration of text, visual and digital learning resources. Problems:Conventional learning may limit students’ access to continuous reinforcement, immediate clarification and independent revision. Baseline assessment in August 2025 identified knowledge gaps, particularly in vehicle-borne transmission, hand hygiene duration, PPE donning and PPE removal. Solution: Nursing Classroom Hub integrates visual learning resources, interactive quizzes and an AI chatbot that allows students to ask IPC-related questions, obtain immediate explanations and reinforce learning at their own pace. A 10-item knowledge assessment was conducted before implementation (August 2025; n=24) and after implementation (June 2026; n=48). Impact: Mean knowledge scores increased from 6.88/10 (68.8%) to 8.79/10 (87.9%), an improvement of 19.2 percentage points. Students achieving ≥8/10 increased from 45.8% to 72.9%, with a significant difference (p=.001; Cohen’s d≈0.97). The innovation supports individuals through personalised learning and immediate feedback, communities through safer nursing practice, the nation through digitally empowered nursing education, and the environment by reducing printed materials. Commercialisation Potential: The platform can be scaled for universities, nursing colleges and healthcare institutions through institutional licensing, subscription-based content, AI-enabled learning packages and continuing professional education.
