ESL learners often struggle not from a lack of ideas, but from limited chances to notice their own language use, reflect on progress, or get feedback that is actually tailored to them. MiReflection AI addresses this by pairing continuous writing practice with AI feedback students write their own reflections first, and the AI responds to their thinking rather than replacing it. The platform identifies students' TP (Tahap Penguasaan) levels per Malaysian assessment standards, then adds writing analysis, weekly prompts, and photo or video responses. Students choose whether entries stay private or go to their teacher, who can also use real content a YouTube clip, a TikTok video as a reflection prompt. Each entry generates an instant report on strengths, growth areas, and proficiency level, while monthly summaries give teachers a fuller view of each student's trajectory. Grounded in Sociocultural Theory, Metacognitive Learning Theory, and TPACK, MiReflection AI positions AI as a learning companion, not a replacement for teachers building learner autonomy and English proficiency together within the Malaysian classroom.
