The Shuttlecock Collector was developed as a practical solution for collecting shuttlecocks scattered across badminton courts. During training and playing sessions, players often need to pause their activities to manually retrieve shuttlecocks, resulting in wasted time and interruption to the continuity of practice. Therefore, this project focuses on developing a mobile robotic system that can simplify the collection process while reducing human effort.

The robot consists of a wheeled mechanical structure integrated with a microcontroller-based control system. DC motors are used to drive the robot, while an ultrasonic sensor detects obstacles during operation. A rotating collection mechanism is incorporated to pick up shuttlecocks and transfer them into a designated storage compartment. The developed prototype was tested on a badminton court to assess its functionality, movement, and collection performance.

The test results demonstrate that the robot is able to collect shuttlecocks effectively while maintaining stable movement and satisfactory operating performance. This project highlights the potential of applying basic robotic technology to address practical challenges in sports facilities. Further enhancements, particularly in object detection and autonomous navigation, could improve the robot’s capabilities and support its future application as a fully automated shuttlecock collection system.
