NV185: BOMMATICS NUMBER SENSE

The percentage of passing in 1st and 2nd Mathematics exam 2025 at school is decreasing and worrying. Remedial students' understanding of basic skill in an addition and subtraction is still weak while these aspects are the most important for determining the level of mathematics literacy and building the HOTS mindset. Therefore, this innovation was conducted to address the problem of mastery of basic skill of ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION.  The students involved in this innovation are from standard 1 to 6 in SJK (T) Vageesar. Initial reviews were conducted through regular oral tests, regular homework tests related to the skills. The student questionnaire was also used as a tool for reviewing students' views on teacher teaching skills. Clinical sessions with a 1-minute test approach plus the use of a basic augmentation of BOMMATICS NUMBER SENSE game can help students to improve achievement and change students' internal perceptions.  BOMMATICS NUMBER SENSE game sessions have been satisfactory and many have succeeded in changing boredom and fear of fun, interest and learning math completely. The use of BOMMATICS NUMBER SENSE game also helps students to act actively. The findings of this study hope to highlight a few experiences, exploratory examples and share insights on the desire to improve mastery of these skills. In addition, students' mastery of the added computation will provide the opportunity to expand their thinking and to develop ideas for solving difficult and compulsory level of questions.
