This video introduces a road safety innovation called PasGuard, developed by a group of students from SMUA Tarbiah Islamiah. The system is specifically designed to help drivers behind trucks make safer decisions when overtaking.
Using an ultrasonic sensor and an Arduino Uno microcontroller, the device is able to detect the distance between the truck and the vehicle ahead. Visual signals are displayed through LED lights, where a red light indicates a dangerous situation, while a green light signals that it is safe to overtake.
By using mBlock programming software, the students developed the coding required to ensure the system operates accurately, helping to reduce the risk of road accidents. The main objective of this project is to enhance road safety by providing drivers with clearer traffic information through the use of sensor technology.
