Always Together: Sisterhood Love – AI-Enhanced Digital Storybook for Early Emotional Development is a multimedia learning innovation designed to support emotional development among young children through relatable sibling experiences. Research indicates that sibling relationships can contribute to children’s emotional understanding through everyday interactions involving sharing, helping, conflict, and comfort (Ross et al., 2024). However, storybook-based approaches to developing emotional intelligence among Malaysian preschoolers remain relatively underexplored, while conventional PDF storybooks provide limited opportunities for multimedia engagement. This project addresses these gaps by presenting culturally familiar interactions between Aisyah, aged five, and Khadijah, aged two, to model empathy, kindness, cooperation, and caring. The enhanced digital version integrates AI-generated illustrations, AI voice narration, multimedia EPUB, a video version, and simple mini-games, allowing children to read, listen, watch, and play within an extended digital learning experience. The innovation supports children’s emotional awareness, provides parents and educators with an accessible digital resource, encourages family engagement, and demonstrates responsible application of AI and new media in early childhood education. Overall, the project transforms conventional digital storytelling into a multimodal experience that integrates technology with meaningful emotional learning.
