BULLY ALERT: Portable Smart Emergency Notification System

BULLY ALERT is a portable smart emergency notification system designed to provide students with a fast, discreet, and accessible method of requesting assistance when they feel unsafe or experience a possible bullying incident. The innovation addresses the challenge faced by students who may be unable or afraid to immediately approach a teacher and report an incident. With the concept “One Press. One Alert. Faster Response,” BULLY ALERT enables a student to activate an emergency notification through a simple one-touch button.

The system integrates an ESP32 controller, emergency push button, LED indicator, wireless communication, portable power supply, and an Android-based monitoring application. When the button is pressed, an alert is transmitted wirelessly to the monitoring system, where the designated teacher or responsible officer can identify the triggered device and respond accordingly. The application also supports real-time notifications, online/offline device monitoring, and multiple-device management, allowing several BULLY ALERT devices to be monitored through a central platform.

BULLY ALERT is designed to be portable, low-cost, user-friendly, and expandable, making it suitable for schools and other environments such as hostels, workshops, laboratories, corridors, and outdoor activities. The innovation aims to shorten response time to possible bullying or emergency situations, strengthen students’ confidence in seeking help, and support a safer learning environment. By combining a simple physical alert device with digital monitoring technology, BULLY ALERT demonstrates how accessible technology can contribute to student safety and well-being.
