Guitar Knight: A Game-Based Learning Application for Guitar Chord Transition is an innovative digital learning platform designed to transform traditional guitar instruction through the integration of Game-Based Learning (GBL). Conventional learning methods, which rely heavily on repetitive exercises, in-person lessons, and static resources, often result in boredom, reduced motivation, and high learning costs, especially for beginners with limited access to music education. To address these challenges, this project aims to design and develop an interactive application that enables users to learn and practice basic guitar chords in an engaging, flexible, and cost-effective way. The primary target users are beginner guitar players, students, and music enthusiasts who wish to learn independently using mobile devices. The application incorporates educational content within a Role-Playing Game (RPG) structure, where user’s complete missions and challenges to unlock new chord lessons. It features visual and audio chord guides, a reward system, immersive graphics, and user-friendly navigation. User testing recorded a usability score of 87.5%, surpassing the accepted benchmark of 82%, indicating high satisfaction and learning effectiveness. Overall, Guitar Knight successfully merges education and entertainment into an inclusive, interactive platform that enhances motivation, accessibility, and engagement in music learning. The project demonstrates significant potential for integration into formal music curricula and commercialization as a digital educational product aligned with 21st-century learning needs.
