Shoe Sentinel is a simple smart shoe-rack alarm system that helps protect shoes from being taken without permission. This project is specially designed for fully residential boarding schools, where missing shoes can sometimes happen. The system uses four microswitches, with one microswitch for each pair of shoes. When a shoe is lifted or moved, the microswitch detects the movement and activates the alarm. Each pair of shoes also has its own ON/OFF rocker switch, so the alarm can be turned off when the owner wants to take the shoes. The alarm gives a sound when a protected shoe is removed without switching the system off. This project can help students become more careful and responsible for their own belongings. It can also reduce the problem of shoes being lost, misplaced, or taken by mistake.
