ACSLearn+ is an interactive web-based teaching and learning platform developed to support the delivery of CPM1032 – Animation, Culture and Society for the Diploma in Animation programme. As a theory-based subject, the course presents challenges in maintaining student engagement and ensuring meaningful understanding of animation as a cultural and social text beyond its entertainment value. Traditional lecture-centric approaches often limit student interaction, reflection and contextual analysis. ACSLearn+ addresses these challenges by providing a centralized digital learning hub that integrates structured content delivery, visual learning materials and interactive learning activities within a single web-based environment.  Interactive elements such as visual quizzes and reflective activities are incorporated to encourage active learning, critical thinking and continuous engagement throughout the course. The platform is designed to support blended learning and self-directed study, allowing students to access learning materials anytime and anywhere. By leveraging readily available digital tools, ACSLearn+ offers a low-cost, scalable and easily maintainable solution for educators. The innovation enhances teaching effectiveness while aligning with outcome-based education principles and digital teaching practices.
