PN522: EcoSystemic: A Gamified Digital Learning Platform For Environmental Education

ADAM ISKANDAR BIN ABDULLAH KOLEJ VOKASIONAL SEPANG

Students often struggle to stay engaged when learning environmental concepts through conventional notes and classroom exercises. Although ecological issues are addressed across History, Science, and Geography, these subjects are typically taught separately, limiting students’ understanding of how environmental challenges connect to human activities and everyday life. EcoSystemic is an interactive educational game designed to overcome this challenge by combining interdisciplinary ecological knowledge with mission-based learning and gamification. The platform provides accessible study notes, interactive questions, educational missions, a competitive leaderboard, and a reward system that motivates students to participate actively. As players progress through different challenges, they earn points and unlock rewards based on their achievements. This approach transforms traditional learning into an engaging experience that encourages students to explore environmental issues while strengthening their understanding of related subjects. The innovation’s distinctive value lies in connecting History, Science, and Geography within a single game-based environment, allowing students to understand ecological issues from multiple perspectives. EcoSystemic also supports independent learning, healthy competition, and greater environmental awareness. Designed as a practical and adaptable educational tool, the platform can be expanded with additional subjects, missions, and customised rewards to meet different learning needs. By integrating education, entertainment, and environmental responsibility, EcoSystemic offers an innovative approach to making ecological learning more meaningful, motivating, and accessible for students.
