The students from the Tech5 Team introduced an innovative automatic roof system called SmarTeduh to help the boarding school community. This project was specially designed to solve the problem of musty-smelling clothes caused by enclosed drying areas, as well as the difficulty of bringing in laundry during rainy weather while students are attending classes.
The system is powered by Arduino Uno technology connected to a water sensor that accurately detects rainfall. When raindrops are detected, the roof automatically closes to protect the clothes. Once the sensor detects that the weather is dry again, the roof automatically reopens.
By using a servo motor and a stable power supply, this innovation provides a practical solution for keeping students' clothes clean and dry. This creative initiative demonstrates how the integration of sensor technology can simplify daily tasks and improve efficiency.
