Geography education faces the challenge of enhancing student engagement with complex conceptual topics while preserving traditional games as cultural learning tools. This study aims to develop MONOTERRA, a Monopoly-based Geography learning medium that integrates biosphere concepts, regional geographical characteristics, and ethnopedagogical elements through the traditional ongsrotan game. Developed using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the medium was tested with seven Class XII IIS 15 ( social twelve grade) students at MBI Amanatul Ummah in Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. MONOTERRA combines a game board, question cards, challenge cards, materials on geographical characteristics, and contextual decision-making activities. Data were collected through media trials, student response questionnaires, and teacher validation. The trial results showed a positive student response of 96.6%. Students showed enthusiasm during the game and were interested in learning about natural characteristics and geographical regions through visual and contextual activities. Teacher validation resulted in an average score of 4.0 out of 5, suggesting that MONOTERRA was positively assessed as a Geography learning medium. The findings indicate that MONOTERRA has the potential to be used as a Geography learning medium that combines gameplay, geographical content, and local cultural elements to support student engagement in the learning process. Further development is needed to examine its effectiveness with a larger number of students and more diverse student characteristics.
