Our initial survey showed that 71.8% of students struggle in Science classes, while 75.2% find the Periodic Table difficult to understand. To address this problem, we developed Periodic Pair Up (PPU), a learning game that uses familiar images and everyday examples to help students understand and remember chemical elements. Based on the pre-test, most students scored below 40%, but their understanding improved significantly after using PPU. We then enhanced the game into Periodic Pair Up 2.0 (PPU 2.0) by introducing progressive levels of difficulty, allowing students to move from simple identification to more challenging tasks involving element names, symbols, atomic numbers, and atomic weights. PPU 2.0 makes learning the Periodic Table more engaging, enjoyable, and challenging for students.
