Waste separation is important to keep our environment clean. However, many people still throw dry, wet and metal waste into the same bin. This makes recycling more difficult.

To solve this problem, we created SortSmart, a smart bin that can separate waste automatically. SortSmart uses an Arduino Uno with different sensors to detect dry, wet and metal waste. After the waste is detected, a motor moves it into the correct bin.

SortSmart makes waste separation easier and helps reduce mistakes. It can also encourage people to recycle and care for the environment. In the future, SortSmart can be improved with a mobile application that tells users when the bin is full.
