Project-based learning (PBL) has been illustrated to be an effective means of teaching students many of the "real-world" issues that arise during the course of engineering projects. Project-based learning is a model that organizes learning around projects. However, project-based learning tends to have a product-centric focus. This project describes an experimental run of a project-based learning program with a research oriented focus, named "Save our Nature”. Students collected waste clothes and chose the suitable materials for the project. They measure, cut and sew the clothes according to design with the teacher’s guidance. Students made doormat, toolbox, pencil box, bottle hanging and hand bag from waste clothes. Students will use the things made by recycle clothes for daily life. Beside that, students also create “Smart Saver Safety Locker” for daily usage of life. Students use basic electric and electronic tools to made this safety locker. They also used old clothes to design the safety locker cover. “Smart Saver Safety Locker” is a safety box for students to keep their things. When need to use this “Smart Saver Safety Locker” students must enter correct password to unlock the box. If they enter wrong password “Smart Saver Safety Locker” will make sound.
