Bag Buddy is a groundbreaking innovation that transforms the traditional school bag into a smart, interactive system designed to support students’ daily school routines. It aims to solve real-life problems such as heavy school bags, forgotten items and poor organization issues that often affect students’ health, safety and confidence. Team Baghackers developed this intelligent bag system by combines creativity, robotics and smart sensor technology to make learning both practical and futuristic.

Bag Buddy features a suite of smart systems such as PosturePal monitors back posture and weight to prevent strain, PackCheck reminds students to pack essential items, RainReady alerts users to changing weather, SafeZip enhances security with fingerprint lock and GPS, HabitHero rewards good habits and GoBag Mode offers an auto-follow trolley function for effortless carrying. Built using LEGO Spike Prime and an array of weight, touch, ultrasonic and colour sensors, Bag Buddy empowers students to take charge of their preparation and personal safety.

Beyond technology, Bag Buddy represents the spirit of 21st-century learning, where innovation meets responsibility. It encourages independence, nurtures healthy habits and promotes meaningful engagement through hands-on experiences in robotics and coding. Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this project has strong potential for real-world implementation in schools through affordable robotic solutions.
