Wealthy Humpty is an innovated plant pot made of eggshells. Eggs are most commonly consumed foods in our daily life; rich in protein and provide many health benefits. As people become more concerned about their diet, they are choosing healthier foods to support their well-being. Eggshells are often discarded as waste and thrown into the trash. However, they are not entirely useless, as they can be reused or recycled in various beneficial ways. While most waste is transformed into fertiliser, we developed a biodegradable pot as a sustainable solution. Malaysia generates approximately 39,000 to 40,000 tonnes of solid waste per day. largely driven by population growth and urbanisation. This equates to over 1.17kg per person daily, with food waste forming the largest component (roughly 30-44%). With over 80% of waste ending up in landfills, many are expected to reach capacity by 2050. Our main objective is to reduce the amount of trash by minimizing the use of plastic pots in gardening. We aim to a indoor and outdoor use, and represent an innovative, eco-friendly solution that is new to the market. Wealthy Humpty made of egg shell powder, agar-agar powder, glycerine and lemongrass essential oil. Wealthy Humpty can be used both indoors and outdoors, making it a versatile choice for any space. It also serves as a thoughtful and practical gift, especially for those who appreciate nature. As a biodegradable pot, Wealthy Humpty naturally decomposes and blends into the soil when it breaks, offering a safer and eco-friendlier alternative to plastic or glass containers.
